Once upon a time…

Carson brought home a large folder of writing assignments this past week. I transcribed each page in case you can’t read 7-year old boy spelling/handwriting – I’ve only corrected misspellings for your benefit but be sure to read his actual writing.

Once upon a time there was a buckeye and it had 3 little buckeyes. Then the buckeye sent the three little buckeyes out to make a house of their own. So they were off. horizontal-line 201611-carsonstory_page_2

The first little buckeye made his house out of Spartans. Soon a big bad Wolverine came by and said “little buckeye, little buckeye, let me in.” “no, not by the hair of my chiny chin chin.” and the Wolverine blew the Spartans’ house down, and off went the Spartans, and the buckeye. horizontal-line201611-carsonstory_page_3

The second buckeye, his house (was made) out of Gators. Then the Wolverine came by and said “little buckeye, little buckeye, let me come in.” “not by the hair on my chiny chin chin.” So the Wolverine blew the house down and the gators were off. horizontal-line

The third little buckeye made his house out of Ducks. When he was done, he saw the Wolverine come by and said “little buckeye, little buckeye, let me in.” “not by the hair of my chiny chin chin.”horizontal-line

So the Wolverine tried to blow the house down, and the buckeye lived happily ever after, until the Wolverine came down the chimney and ate up the buckeye, and the ducks and Wolverine lived together happily ever after.

You’re welcome.
