This picture is 2.5 weeks old, but better late than never, I suppose!
We, well Rick (I was pregnant last winter) tried to take Mallory ice skating last year and it didn’t work out so well. She only wanted me and I couldn’t step on the ice. So I think she lasted all of 43 seconds last year.
But this year is a whole new year.
We’ve taken her skating the past three Sundays and I think it’s safe to say that she LOVES it. The first two weeks Carson & I had to watch from the stands, but this past week we left Carson with my mom and I strapped on my goalie skates and all three of us went skating!
Mallory is still pretty scared or nervous or whatever and wants to hold cling on to our hands but if we get serious with her, and tell her she has to do it by herself – she totally can. She can slowly march her way across the blue line. I was so proud of her!! You can totally see her trying *soooo* hard not to smile when we are gushing over her.
I want her to enjoy hockey and ice skating but not so much that I turn into a rink mom.
i totally want to take jackson to do this!!! where do you go? is it expensive? what kind of skates do they wear – regular ice skates?
