The Up North Trip

We are on our annual pilgrimage to visit my aunt & uncle “up north”. The kids were great on the trip up, Carson slept the entire time up which was fabulous. We also timed our trip so that we would get to see my grade school friend Mandy & her family. They discovered a great little petting farm near their house so we took all four kids there on Saturday. They had two mamma pigs and a bunch of little piglets – some of whom were trying to nurse, so Mallory said “Mommy, those piggies are trying to eat like how Carson does!” Nice.

We’ve had beautiful weather, which is a huge contrast to what the weather is usually like when we come up here in August. Like it was so hot that I not only actually went in the lake, but I went all the way under. Mallory went under all the way too – a continuation of our work at the pool last weekend where I got her to go under with me a bunch of times, and then also she jumped off the ledge to me and went all the way under. I was so proud of her (to which she asks me “Mommy, are you so proud with me?”)

And here is a final picture of my sweet baby boy…
